The Student Grade Calculation and Evaluation System is a web-based project developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It is designed to calculate a student's total marks, percentage, and grade based on marks entered for five subjects.
The application provides five input fields where users can enter subject-wise marks. When the “Click” button is pressed, JavaScript collects the entered values, calculates the total marks, and determines the overall percentage using the formula (Total Marks / 500) × 100.
An if-else-if conditional structure is used to assign grades according to the calculated percentage. Students scoring 90% or above receive an A+, while lower percentages are assigned B+, C+, D+, E+, or Fail based on the defined conditions. The result and grade are displayed dynamically on the webpage.
CSS is used to enhance the interface through background styling, input fields, button design, spacing, fonts, and different colors for each grade. This project demonstrates practical knowledge of DOM manipulation, JavaScript functions, conditional statements, arithmetic operations, and basic web page styling. It provides a simple and interactive solution for automating student marks and grade evaluation.
