The website features structured informational sections, nature-inspired backgrounds, decorative styling, and typography using Google Fonts. One of its key design elements is a hover-reveal effect that displays plant descriptions through CSS, without requiring JavaScript.
The project was developed using HTML5 and CSS3, with a focus on exploring advanced CSS selectors, pseudo-classes, pseudo-elements, and basic Flexbox layouts.
Through this project, I gained practical experience in using pseudo-classes such as `:hover`, `:visited`, and `:active`, along with pseudo-elements such as `::first-letter`, `::selection`, and `::marker`. I also practiced adjacent sibling selectors, background image styling, typography, hover effects, and decorative webpage elements.
The primary focus was on understanding how CSS selectors and pseudo-elements can control webpage appearance and create interactive visual effects without relying on JavaScript.
This is a beginner-level static frontend practice project. Future improvements could include better mobile responsiveness, additional animations and transitions, multiple linked pages, search and filtering functionality, and improved accessibility and semantic HTML structure.
