The website includes a home page with an introductory hero section, a registration page containing different types of form inputs, a personalized reading preference form and a books page organized into genres such as Fantasy, Science Fiction and Thriller. Users can navigate between the different pages using HTML links and form based navigation. Remix Icons are also integrated to enhance the visual presentation of the interface.
The project was developed using HTML5 for creating the webpage structure and forms, CSS3 for styling and layout, and Remix Icons through a CDN for interface icons. CSS Flexbox was used to organize different sections and create the basic layout structure.
Through this project, I gained practical experience in structuring multi page websites, working with different HTML form elements, organizing navigation, creating reusable sections such as navigation bars and footers, and applying CSS for webpage layouts. I also practiced hosting a static website using GitHub Pages.
The project is currently a static implementation and does not include JavaScript based interactions, dynamic book recommendations or backend functionality. Some responsiveness and layout consistency issues may occur on different screen sizes, and external images may affect loading performance.
Future improvements could include JavaScript based personalized recommendations, improved mobile responsiveness, backend integration for user accounts and enhanced accessibility through better labels and ARIA attributes.
