JS-backticks-expressions

by Madhushree Rasal

HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript
The JavaScript Backticks and Expressions project is a multi page web development practice project created to explore and understand JavaScript template literals, expressions and dynamic HTML generation. The project consists of multiple HTML pages representing different sections of a fictional Versatile Technology website, including Home, Courses Available, Meet the Staff, Our Work, Competitions Won, Branches, Teaching Methods and Activities, About Us and Customer Support.

The main objective of the project is to demonstrate how JavaScript can be used to generate reusable webpage elements dynamically instead of writing the same HTML structure repeatedly on every page. All the pages share a common JavaScript file that dynamically generates their navigation menu and page headings based on the values passed to the JavaScript functions. Each HTML page provides different information to the shared script, allowing the same JavaScript logic to produce different outputs depending on the page being accessed.

The project makes extensive use of JavaScript template literals and backticks to combine HTML markup with dynamic values using expressions. It also incorporates functions, arrays, string manipulation through the split method, for loops and DOM manipulation using innerHTML to generate and display webpage content.

The project was developed using HTML5 for creating the individual webpage structures, CSS3 for styling and JavaScript for implementing the dynamic functionality and reusable components.

Through this project, I gained practical experience in working with template literals, embedding JavaScript expressions within strings, manipulating arrays, creating reusable functions and dynamically modifying webpage content through the DOM. It also helped me understand how a single JavaScript file can be shared across multiple HTML pages to maintain consistency, reduce code repetition and make webpage development more efficient.

Overall, this project helped strengthen my understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and demonstrated how dynamic content generation and code reusability can be applied in practical frontend web development.
