Solar System Animation Using HTML CSS

by Madhav

HTML CSS
A visually compelling, pure front-end simulation of the celestial Solar System engineered exclusively with HTML5 and advanced CSS3 features. Designed entirely without JavaScript or external utility libraries, this project demonstrates high-level proficiency in keyframe animations, 3D transform perspectives, dynamic layout positioning, and performance-optimized CSS rendering technique.

The application features a glowing central Sun surrounded by eight accurately ordered planetary orbits—Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—each executing continuous revolution cycles. Using complex CSS custom variables, dynamic animation timing functions, and multi-layered transform origins, each planet orbits smoothly at relative rotational speeds against a deep, immersive dark space background.

Responsive design principles ensure proper scaling across mobile, tablet, and desktop viewports, delivering smooth visual presentation and efficient UI execution across browser engines.
